Course Outline |
Current research shows that each brain hemisphere plays different and varied roles in the achievement of specialized functions of learning that lead to higher IQ scores. The language of profiles and learning styles identifies the learner’s unique and preferred way of processing information. Over time an individual creates certain patterns of operating in the world. These patterns may have been partly inherited, learned over time or the result of what worked best at a given time. Today those same patterns may not be optimal. They may instead be learned patterns of compensation. The purpose of this course is to provide experiences in which we have an opportunity to notice and mindfully ntegrate these patterns of optimal specialization and generalization. It is through the use of Brain Gym activities that the most optimal patterns can be established or re-established as the case may be.
The dominance profile is invaluable to educators and children alike, as it indicates sensory and brain preferences and their implication for such activities as: |
|
• reading |
• math |
• writing |
• memory access |
• motivation |
• talking on the phone |
• relating to people |
• sports performance |
• other life activities |
|
|
|
The Optimal Brain Organization course provides a new understanding and appreciation of one’s own uniqueness and the ways of functioning in the world. The processes you will learn in this course offer the opportunity to access all sensory channels in order to make use of all modalities, bringing positive, healthy and integrated resources to new learning situations |
